The seven-spot ladybird is a carnivorous beetle native to Europe, Africa and Eastern Asia. It has been ‘introduced to North America.’ It was also Insect of The Year in 2006.
All fun facts and I found this one enjoying these yellow flowers in The Policies today.
I was actually looking for mint at the time and I eventually found the mint hiding underneath the yellow flowers of a rapidly shrub that I have still to identify.
The ‘Chef’ was busy preparing lunch for our visitors; Ann and Ian Millar. The Millars are sometimes referred to as Mr and Mrs Dog in my Blipfoto tales.
Ann had expressed a desire to enjoy some Bubbly in our gardens before lunch, however the rain cancelled that plan.
Perhaps another day.
