A welcome shower

It has been a low key birthday today given we only arrived yesterday afternoon and are both still tired. It was nice at church today when the vicar invited me out to the front, said some prayers and some nice things and then the congregation sang me Happy Birthday. We had planned to go down to the café on the square for the traditional shared knickerbocker glory but the cafe was shut. That treat will have to be postponed. It has been another very hot and humid day. The storms that were forecast have not so far arrived, but we do have some light rain which is helping to reduce the temperature and freshen things up a little.
