Sunday: Bramley Cooking Apples

Very windy, then very wet … and torrential rain with strong wind behind it by evening, at least all my plant pots getting well watered, forecast for tomorrow is dry weather!!

Mid morning had a phone chat with my daughter who was walking with Cousin Idris in the Woodland, then a chat with our T who was out for a drive with their younger daughter :-)

Made gluten free Chilli con Carne for MrD’s tea, my vegetarian option will be fried rice, maybe with prawns …

For lunch I had: Prawn Cocktail crisps, Peach and Passion Fruit yoghurt and Fruit & Nut chocolate … couldn’t face proper food as I have some sort of head cold with headache and claggy throat and my right eye is sore :-((

Weather turned wet and windy this afternoon, I watched a very interesting Australian documentary “Rachel’s Farm” which we’d seen earlier this year, but well worth watching again -

MrD had a ride on his motorbike through the centre of the island and got home just as the first drops of rain fell onto the large window …!

Blip of a few of this year’s cooking apples, mild spring brought the pollinators early and the rain arrived just as the fruit is beginning to swell :-))
