I managed 20 minutes on the bike this morning. It has been sadly neglected of late. JR went off with some of her gym buddies for breakfast in a cafe. Archie and I went round the Links. It was nice - even the breeze was warmish. Though we had quite frequent short showers all day.
I did a job I've been meaning to do for, oh, years. I tidied my bedside table drawer. It was jammed full of all sorts of things that I didn't really need. But right under the debris, I found something I thought I'd LOST years ago. It was a treasured Celtic Cross on a chain that my granny had given me in 1970. I often thought about where I'd lost it, but had completely forgotten I'd put it there, probably in the time when I was swimming regularly. Result!
Apart from that I've watched tennis. JR took Archie out again in the afternoon, and got caught in a shower.
EB: This is Archie, deciding whether to jump up on the sofa beside me. He will stand like this for absolutely AGES, only twitching his eyebrows, deciding whether he can be bothered jumping up, or just stroll to his bed instead. Perhaps jumping up on the sofa is getting to be a real effort for him now, being an old man of eleven...
Hazel is back home from her cruise tonight!
