Sweet Peas

The excitement of the day was that our sweet peas have started to flower! This is the first time I’ve tried them and so am delighted!

I did some marking: Yes, it’s Sunday, but Monday and Tuesday will be busy this coming week and it was an easy hour. Bb went for the paper and bought a few necessities on the way back at a Sunday opening shop. I watered the balcony plants and up on the roof terrace and the veggies get liquid food on Sundays. Bb watered the patio. We cleaned the bathrooms (Bb downstairs and me upstairs) and I zapped the hoover around, seeing as it was out anyway.

Then late lunch on the patio - chicken sandwiches from yesterday’s half roast chicken and home made broccoli and cauliflower soup. Yes, it’s very strange to have soup in this heat, but I had 3 packs of soup in the freezer which were transferred into the fridge on Friday when we had to defrost our freezer and, well, waste not, want not!

We’re now out for a walk and it’s very hot and humid!! The forecast says it won’t drop below 23 degrees tonight, during the night.
