Otterly Amazing Visitor
Thunderstorms started late last night, continued throughout the night and this morning, finishing about 11am. Damp and misty day, windy and wet evening.
Up early, breakfast in the caravan. A morning trying to pack things up, avoiding the showers. Spent some time listening to the rumbles of thunder. A drive around, with short walks for Sammy. Lunch at Hillswick hotel, the Sunday carvery was delicious. Final things packed up, headed home. Working in the shop this evening, the rain hasn't put anyone off, busy as usual. Feet up before bed.
The hot topic of the day for most was the thunderstorms last night and into this morning, it didn't give me much of a chance to mention the dratsi (otter) that came by this morning for a look around the caravan. It wasn't long after a bang went, this big lad came charging up from the sea. A sniff around the ewes and lambs, around the house and caravan, then vanished down the hill again. While he was busy, I sneaked into the porch, and got a good view of him scurrying around. Taken at Da Peerie Haa, Tangwick, Eshaness.
The extra was a lightning shot about 2345hrs last night.
