INDIA DAY 4…

…the marriage.
Well this morning was chaos, like really chaotic!!!! Dashing for a bathroom slot, breakfast and then Aunties came to help dress me and P in our saris!
Our appointment at the government offices was for 10:30. We left the home at 10:40!!!! Lateness stresses me but I went with the flow.
I had imagined that it would be similar to a registry office in England but no it was an open office with lines of desk where people where buying land, houses (probably livestock!!!).
#It took a matter of minutes to sign the forms!! All very strange but I’m glad to be here.
#Afterwards I asked for photos…her Dad had already gone off to get the car!!!
This is O, P and me!!
# This photo is probably my favourite of the day at the temples. In tradition we visited 3 temples…a family one and then 2 larger ones. (They are not as ornate as temples in Thailand).
#This is outside P’s favourite temple with her Auntie, Dad and sister.
Then we met up with another Auntie and Uncle for a really lovely meal in a hotel with the most tastiest fish fingers ever!!!! I did explain to her Dad that in England this is what we feed our children but these were very very different.
In the evening they had a small chocolate cake to cut.
And so in law O is married but for me and them it doesn’t feel real. Looking forward to the English ceremony next year.
