The photo shows a healthy honeysuckle covering the trellis with lots of green leaves, but no flowers so far.
The red Astilbe has done very well.
I bought four more this year, including pink and cream. I gave one to my daughter Maria because she loves gardening too. She has a no dig veg plot, a magnolia, lavender, and several perennials. She bought a hammock and enjoys sitting there reading and relaxing. She works hard too.
I have had a fairly busy Monday. It is 22.2c indoors and 82f I the conservatory.
The cats needed their bowls cleaning and new soft food, biscuits and water.
I put the washing on then went to buy our Daily Mail. It was very windy with low dark grey clouds, but I got home in the dry.
After breakfast I went to the Co op with porridge oats, pasta and strawberry jam for the Church foodbank.
The Amazon Prime van brought a beautiful Christian gift. It was an acrylic butterfly with encouraging Bible verses on it. I then packaged it and posted it for a second cousin, Jean, in Feltham. She is very dear to me and needs cheering up.
The sun is shining now. Jasper and Hunter are being a bit confrontational in the garden. I best go see if I can stop a cat fight.
Enjoy Monday.
