Essex Beauty

What a thrill! I found an Essex skipper butterfly in my front garden! I've photographed them in our field but never in the garden before.They're such attractive little things. I'm proud of my county and proud of our butterfly. I've written before of the learned wife of the vicar in my home Essex village finding these little butterflies in the vicarage garden and not being believed by eminent entomologists.
