Make someone happy

I arrived in Portsmouth faster than I expected, so by the time I got dressed and up on deck the ship was already moored in the harbour! After a short delay we were all on the bus and I got to customs nice and quickly, only to discover a bus load of children were already there.... Thankfully a nice Border Force operative opened his desk-up just for the normal passengers, and I was through in no time.

I walked though the sun to the train station, and took this blip as I passed the old Sainsbury's. There was a series of bright murals on the wall, and I thought this one was very cheery. Anyone remember Buzby?

I made it in good time for my train, and then things came unstuck. My 9am train was cancelled and we were told to take the next train to Fratton, and when in Fratton we played musical platforms and trains for nearly an hour before I was finally on my way to my friends.

I met my friend at the station and was installed shortly thereafter. I deposited my cache of Breton cidre, biscuits, crepes and galettes. I'd only been in the house 20 minutes when my Waitrose order of tea bags arrived - I was over an hour late by then...
