Inuit soapstone creature

Last Monday, when I bought this wee ornament from a charity shop for £15, I thought that it was an Inuit soapstone mouse. The next day over WhatsApp, my sisters persuaded me that it is probably a polar bear cub. Now I am beginning to wonder if it's a lemming? Perhaps Blipland has the answer? It is signed on the base 'RW' with the date of 1-4-93.

Whatever it is, I love this wee creature. It fits so perfectly into the palm of my hand. It now has pride of place next to my 'jade' tortoise on our hearth.

I have been busy today catching up after my recent travels north and south. I also managed a short run. Meanwhile Mr hazelh prepared a wonderful roast chicken dinner for four of us: the hazelhs, Jon, and new friend Hadil.
