Hydrangea

One of the black stem hydrangeas beginning with a Z - Zorro or Zebra - just beginning to flower and catching the early evening light. There are 3 in the shady garden and they should all be called ‘Survivor’! They have been moved around so many times - the final move was 3 years ago when we first started planting the Far Side shady garden. They seemed to struggle at first but now have grown, have healthy foliage and look as though they are going to flower magnificently. Worth all the effort and waiting and they make a significant statement in the border.
