New and old

A collage of some of the new and the old plants in the garden, taken in a rather murky and drizzly early morning light combined with a view from the electric bus I took up into town and of Old College as I came out of the dinner I was invited to, as someone's Plus One. It was a long day, with sections in the car, on a train, at the RSE, at home, on a bus, in the Playfair Library, and then finally in a taxi. Luckily I managed to squeeze both a brief restorative snooze and a shortish peloton workout into the mix when I was at home, to keep me sharp.

As I've said before, there are worse ways to ease into the week than sitting on the LNER train south from Inverness, alternately working and gazing out of the window.
