Solarising filter day

Today I shot this oils and acrylic painting with a view to playing around with it in the Hobb's week # 3 of the Great Filterama Challenge. I went for a very simple filter called Solarisation.

Solarisation (or solarization) is a phenomenon in photography in which the image recorded is wholly or partially reversed in tone. Dark areas appear light or light areas appear dark. The term is synonymous with the Sabattier effect when referring to negatives, but that is a whole different story! Most of us have not seen a negative in years!

Bigger before and after.
