05! Can You See it?

Another day of volunteering at Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse. Another day of visitors looking for letters and numbers on the Dining Room ceiling. For most visitors this is very difficult.

The entry photographs show 05. When I took this and showed it to our visitors they could see 05 quite clearly.

The ceiling includes the date of 1905, which is when the ceiling was completed. The initials FS is for Frederick Sharp and the initials of BW are for Beatrice White who was Mrs Sharp.

This photograph will save a lot of time in the future and will be the key to unlocking the message in the ceiling.

I wonder how Frederick managed with the various guests he had to dinner.

Perhaps, he should have applied gold leaf to the four letters and the four numbers.
