Tuckered out!

After a very exciting morning of being in a canoe, she finally got the hang of it and settled down … then fell fast asleep. :)

We took a canoe trip up the river and into the canal system. We were supposed to be heading to a cafe just outside Ripon before coming back down however, once we stopped for lunch we discovered that the locks had been chained closed to prevent any water lose. It was then decided that we would just head back down the river, however, we then discovered that the lock we had already gone through had then been chained up. So we had to carry the canoes over.
When we got back, someone else was supposed to be making a meal for all the rest of us…but their trip had run into low water problems and were running WAY over time. We prepared the veg but then just waited. They got back about 9pm. It didn’t take long for the meal to cook and it was worth the wait. :). Everyone sat round in a big circle chatting and eating. Meanwhile the ceilidh blasted out across the field.
