Lilies, wasps and summer aphids…

Landed…

Landed in Paris late morning after the kind of sleep you’d expect being squished into Economy.  CDG airport was easy to navigate (compared to Miami)and we had time to buy a swanky sandwich before the hop on to London.  Got a car home and spent most of the afternoon unpacking and putting stuff away. 

Not one but two wasps’s nest in our thatch and the kitchen full of wasps. We have to get them out of the thatch even though the aftermath is faintly disgusting and smelly.  Loads of dahlias in flower but many of them covered in aphids so I picked a bunch and dunked them in salty water.  

It’s good to be home. We defrosted a meal from Madeleine’s kitchen, put some washing on and watched two eps of Department Q
