Columbine

On a nice hike to an alpine lake we came across a field of Columbines that were just starting to open up. This guy was ahead of the others but looks like the cold nights got to the edge of its peddles. Whidbey, extra, found some snow patches to take in and had a great time bathing in the frigid alpine lake.
