Did some more gardening in the morning- cleared another border and planted some lavender and then cut out all the dead branches that I could reach in the acer. This is the first year any of them have died- hoping it will be okay. Although the temperature was only supposed to be 23 degrees it was very humid so I stopped a couple of times for a drink and cool down. After lunch I drove to the local big garden centre, but only to drop off lots of used plastic pots for recycling- they were threatening to take over my storage area.
Walked up to the Avenue to get my fringe cut, came home via m and s, had a drink and a snack and then set off for the Bridge club via Forest Fields- needed to drop off something I bought a few days ago to get it adjusted. We came second in Bridge( didn’t think we had done particularly well) . Came home via Forest Fields for collection and then went straight to bed with my wonderful a/c on!
