Yellow Shell Moth

I found this highly attractive moth up on Morn Hill today.  It's the first time I've seen one of these, but I think a couple of you have been before me this year posting shots of its brothers and sisters.  What a little beauty - despite the apparent absence of one antenna (I say 'apparent' because I'm not one hundred per cent sure the other antenna isn't pointing directly at camera, unlikely though this may sound).

Today was meant to be grey and started out that way.  We even had 5 minutes of rain but there's been long patches of sun as well so I didn't have to resort to an inside shot - never my favourite option.
