A wet morning
The weather has been mixed today and it ended much brighter than it began. I only took the one photo despite doing some bits in the garden between showers.
The day was wild until late afternoon when the wind began to die down - consequently I've been sweeping up more debris that blew off the avenue's trees.
Terry tried to order more clexane injections as he only had 6 left this morning and he is to be on it at least six months. Despite the DOAC team having contacted his GP to ask for it to be put on repeat prescription so the does not run out, it has not been done. surprise surprise. He still has had no response to his query as to why he has had no weekly blood tests as he was supposed to have. He rang the surgery and spoke to a very helpful receptionist but still nothing was sorted out- he was told he would be able to order it if he went on the patient access site - but when he tried, he could not. I said to ring the DOAC team as it's pointless speaking to a receptionist again who has to email the doctor sitting in the adjacent room and wait to see if she gets a reply! He did ring the DOAC team and had a telephone review while they were having the conversation. she was contacting his GP yet again (today) and said that should ensure the GP sorts it out for him to order on repeat prescription but not to worry about the risk of running out because she won't let it happen - if the GP has not sorted it in time she (DOAC lady) will do him a prescription. It's ridiculous the number of pointless attempts at getting things sorted. The DOAC lady said Terry's potassium level had been high at his last blood test. He asked her why and she said she was hoping he could tell her that! He said he thought it might be due to the pancreatitis and she said that made sense. This is not reassuring since his last test was while he was still in hospital and he has been home 2 weeks now without a repeat test. Shocking care. The GP was supposed to be sorting out the blood tests.
The peeling skin on his palms is worse and he won't ask the surgery about it - I can see why - it's like pulling teeth trying to get a response from them about anything.
