Out on Two Wheels, back on four
Rode down to Gloucester centre this morning, right next to the famous Kingsholm Rugby ground where Gloucester RUFC play. Destination, Mantra Motorcycles for an annual service.
The return trip home was a bit more mundane, on a Stagecoach single deck bus!
When I booked the service he, Aide, warned me that the bike was due a big service and it would be expensive. As it is, when I went to pick to pick it up, it was less than £200 and only needed an interim service. He was expecting me to have done my normal five to six thousand miles in the past 12 months but in actual fact I've done less than two thousand. This is due to having the twins living with us, of course, which has restricted what I could do at the weekends in the way of county shows, trips to the continent, and to some extent ride-outs although I've been on some.
As we near the point where they will be leaving us I must say it's been hard work but very gratifying in that we have been able to help Julia in her time of need. They have given us a lot of joy along with the exhaustion!
Today was also sports day for the year one children. The extra is Bella, in the middle sack, preparing for the sack race.
