They said he was the Stig in muftie!

We spent a marvellous day at Beaulieu's National Motor Museum. We began the visit by exploring the site via monorail. Then the girls and Daddy had a ride in the Top Gear simulator. We wondered if the main hall would be more to Daddy's liking than the girls but were quickly proved wrong as there was so much to see and do. We took an ancient bus ride to the Palace where the Maid and Butler were waiting to greet us and outside there was a short re-enactment of an afternoon motoring trip in about 1912. An exhibition based on the SOE training that took place here was very interesting to us "oldies" and the ice-cream stall was more interesting to the youngsters. We visted the site of the abbey and watched the falconer with his birds of prey, and the young people just managed to finish a ride on the go-carts before a torrential downpour ended what was a super day, and didn't dampen our spiritis one bit!
