Petrichor

A title entirely disconnected with the image, but we've just come back from a late night walk around the village in gentle rain. After the heat of the day that was so wonderful, and the smell of rain... petrichor... exquisite.

This image isn't great by any means. Nevertheless, given that the holly blue was in the ivy at the top of our fifteen feet tall hedge, and I was only using the 400mm to produce a 4Mpx crop from a 61Mpx sensor, it's not all bad.

The weather was in my mind as I smiled to read that The Met Office are 'consulting' the public for names for the next sequence of named storms... Already the Internet is wild with ideas of "Storm BigOil", "Storm Exxon", and "Storm BP"... 

It would be wrong to put the link here, eh... "Stormy MacStormFace", anyone?
