The Contest

I had a stare down
with the blinders-on horse,
and I think I won,
but I'm not sure, of course.

But, how would I know,
instead of just think?
How would I know...
if I can't see him blink?

with a shimmy and a shake.

Another animal defeated,
I am the stare down king.
I'm going online to order...
a steely-eyed medal or a ring.

We picked up grandson Merrick for a surprise lunch today. The surprise? Shaquille O'neal's new chicken place called Big Chicken. He had a chicken sandwich with mac-and-cheese on it, and Lisa and I split a chicken fingers meal. Good.

On the way home we stopped at 2 different garage sales, both of them duds.
