Out in the forest

The Swedish forest is everywhere and I never tire of it.  It's lush and light and open and a complete pleasure to walk in.

The trees are tall and straight and statuesque, having had lower branches cleared, so it allows a beautiful dappled light to get through to the forest floor. They're being prepared for later use as the dominant building material here. 

The tiny bright green plants that border this path are blueberries.  Oh that I won't be here when they are covered in fruit later in summer !!
