A few blues
Borage, some kind of phacelia, geranium rozanne and lavender munstead. There are other blues in the garden - especially salvias - but I ran out of time and inclination. I'd seen what I thought was a juvenile mistle thrush but I wasn't sure enough. It might have been a song thrush which I know is a lovely bird but I blip them quite often. Then I saw an interesting pupa - or was it a bit of bird poo? Again not sure enough for a blip. Lastly plenty of ragwort but no cinnabar moth caterpillars so garden blues it is.
I had a leisurely start to the day, decadently doing some admin from bed. Then we set off to find floor covering for the bold shower room floor. I'm always overwhelmed by choice in those circumstances but a choice has been made and it'll be fitted in a few weeks.
I took Flora out and found it to be damp but warm. Not horrible but not terribly inspiring. What is inspiring is my social activity this evening. I'm off to a 90th birthday celebration. The 90 year old in question is one of my monthly social group. There is a wide age range in this group and M is the oldest by some distance. She used to live just round the corner but last year moved a few miles away to be nearer her son. She is always up for a good time. I think there will be 9 or 10 of us gathering at another friend's house for wonderful home made curry with accoutrements, fizz and birthday fun.
