First Picking

They're only small but there's a lot more to come. I have four plants in a raised bed and they've grown like weeds. I need to keep picking or they'll run away with me. They'll probably do that anyway. 

We had such a lovely time last night. The star of the show, 90 years + two weeks old,  thoroughly enjoyed herself as did we all. The curry was wonderful - made by a local woman who cooks for the weekend. I think this is the third time our group has had her food. It's absolutely first rate. Then there was birthday cake and/or meringues with home made lemon curd and cream. The cake and meringues were made by the friend who was hosting. 

There was a lot of leftover curry so we each took some home. I'm going to bulk up what I rescued with spiced courgettes!
