Or to give them their botanical name “Malva Sylvestris”. At least that is what Google told me. They are growing wild all around the village, so I have entered them for both FlowerFriday, and Wild Flower Week.
The extra would have been my blip if it wasn’t Friday. That was the state of the hound when I woke up this morning – I think he had a good night’s sleep.
We were out early (VERY early by my book) for our morning walk in order to beat the heat. About twenty to seven – I’m not even making a cup of tea by that time. We did our ‘longest’ walk, just short of a couple of miles. Biskit met a few friends that he hadn’t seen for a while.
Something with peas for dinner tonight. Nothing to do with some silly b**** putting the peas back in the fridge instead of the freezer yesterday I’m sure . . . I think we are heading for chicken thighs cooked on a bed of peas. We’ve had that before but the recipe called for frozen peas – well they were!
Many thanks to Anni for hosting FlowerFriday, and to ApolloFly for hosting WildFlowerWeek this week.
