Beauty is all around us.

Jasper visiting our garden.

The Feast Day of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.

It is much cooler today, dry but windy. 19c to 22c.

The rainy weather yesterday brought out several slugs. They chomped their way through the orange gerbera. I had put Vaseline along the edge of the big planter but the rain washed it off. So this afternoon I rescued the three Gerberas, re potted them in individual flowerpots and put them in the greenhouse to recover.

In the planter where they were, is now a yellow Potentilla, Apple Mint, Camomile grass with white flowers and some Lemon Balm. Slugs generally leave these plants alone so I am hoping they thrive together.

I took a small selection of cakes to the Church kitchen, because tomorrow at 3pm there is a patronal celebration to mark the Feast of St Peter and Paul. There will be a guest preacher, brass band and afternoon tea. Looking forward to it.

It is also the birthday of Norman, who sold us this wonderful house. We have stayed friends with him and Betty his wife.

I will be watching Beechgrove Garden this evening and some of the Glastonbury Festival.

Enjoy a lovely evening blip friends and thank you for dropping by today.
