Universe in a flower
A quieter day, WFH for which I am grateful. A lot of online meetings but nothing too strenuous.
Pottered in the garden on and off during the day.
Blip: My absolute favourite flower, the Astrantia, where each little flower head itself contains multitudes of tiny flowers. In an infinite universe, maybe each of these also has microscopic flowers that we can't see. I love that the petals on this one look like they've been ink-dipped.
Extra: the lavender is looking a bit past its best already but is beloved of bees, butterflies, and me.
Off to book club later, this month we read "The Coin" by Yasmin Zaher. A compulsive read about a Palestinian woman living in New York. The main protaganist is both hideous and yet still completely compelling. I look forward to the robust debate we'll doubtless have in the group!
