hammering

D and I were at an art workshop at the Cample Line Gallery today. We were learning all about "Flower Pounding" which is basically hammering flowers and leaves onto a sheet of fabric. It was oddly addictive, though I wish I had brought my earplugs - I retreated outdoors as I am paranoid about protecting my hearing. The other nice part of the workshop was the way that we all got chatting and sharing ideas, and you can get a flavour of that in my photo, I think.

I had a break from the "piles" today, but D did do some mowing when he came home, and unfortunately disturbed a nest of either bees or wasps (he didn't hang around to do a proper ID). They stung his arm and behind his ear and it was pretty sore :-(

In the safety of my kitchen, I made 4 jars of raspberry jam, and 2 of blackcurrant (my favourite). I had called in to Joanna's on my way to choir last night to deliver her birthday gifts, and she gave me a punnet of blackcurrants.

My WIP is in the extra.
