Night Beauty

The first flower this year on our dahlia Night Beauty.
I am really pleased I have managed to keep it so long. Bought back in 2022 from Sarah Raven, the bees love it.
I grow it in a pot and each year bring the tubers inside. Dry them out and wrap in newspaper. 
They used to go rotten when kept in the shed now I keep them in the cupboard in the down stairs toilet and that has so far kept them OK.

A very warm muggy day. No rain and no sun.
Have just spent nearly two hours watering and dead heading.
Understand there is a heatwave on the way!

Happy Birthday to our dear granddaughter Hannah who is 26 today.
Is it really 10 years since she was 16 on the same day as the school Prom night!  See extra.taken in 2015.
