My day

New roots

I put three hyacinths in vases 4 weeks ago. One has one root, one has none and this one is racing away to win the race. It is interesting to see how fast they grow once they decide the time is right.

I did about an hour in the garden, mainly raking leaves and putting them into big bags as my compost bins are full. I alternate the leaves with green clippings from the lawn in summer and it helps put carbon back into the mix. It isn’t comfortable but I enjoy the exercise. I also cleaned the top shelf in my garden shed and washed out some pots for planting the new primroses I purchased the other day.

Inside I went through 4 old files but didn’t discard much. Thats OK.

This afternoon I walked around the block and visited Lee my neighbour. She is house bound and enjoys a natter. Then I did some time on the piano using the SimplyPiano App.
