Rivs

A lovely morning pottering around West Kirby with the wife and MsMoss: once we'd fought the parking we managed brunch, a trip to the book shop and a walk up to the edge of Hoylake and back - on the blustery side of comfortable but at least the wind was warm, and we turned round rather than looped so we'd had a good buffeting on both sides. (Which now I see it written down looks like we've had a good selection of snacks, which given we went to the deli was also true).  I also managed to give MsMoss 2 our our many thousands of courgettes, so that was a win.

The rest of the day has been laundry heavy (hot and windy, what a joy for clearing the basket) and watching Glastonbury on and off on the tv with running commentary over text between myself and Ultrafloop where we are either utterly delighted (Bob Vylan) or dismayed (Weezer).

Blip: River, the 1.5 eared cat, who cannot BELIEVE it's taken me this many blips to make him the star of the show. I mean, look at him... he's clearly the the handsomest dude of any room he walks into.  He's at least 15 (we've had him for 9 years and the cat rescue thought he was at least 6 when we had him) and he's on life 10.5 or so...He's also hard to take photos of because he often looks like a black lump on a blanket and these days if you go near him he assumes he's getting a cuddle and comes straight over for a head rub / chin stroke / to wipe himself all over your legs.  The former version of himself would be disgusted (he used to be such a fighting cat - he never hunted or brought home as much as a single mouse, but always came home covered in scratches from beating up other cats, and if you were outside when he was outside he would not let you anywhere near him in case it softened his "toughest cat in the neighbourhood" image). Anyway because it's been a mix of flowers and buildings to date I told him if he could sit still he could feature today.  He did his best (although had to be distracted by the waving magic hand in the sky), and then immediately demanded strokes after he'd sat still for one picture.
