1221 day of war
Hello friends!
This week was calm, and we spent it taking care of various things. There’s no work at all right now — it seems like most people are on vacation. So we're trying to stay busy with other things.
I had a couple of orders for tapestries and T-shirts, and Nastya is embroidering custom cat patches from photos. And that’s really great, because even when there’s no regular work, we can still earn a little through handmade crafts.
Today we managed to buy train tickets, although it wasn’t easy. There are only two trains running to the Carpathians from across Ukraine, and in summer tickets are always sold out. Sales open 20 days before departure at 8 a.m., and this morning we managed to grab some, which means we’re definitely going. I still can’t quite believe it, but I’m really happy that this summer we’ll at least be able to get away for the weekend.
It’ll be a full-day hike along a mountain ridge with views of Hoverla — which we climbed two years ago. I’m curious to see it from afar, because when you’re climbing a mountain it’s hard to grasp how big it is, and big things are best seen from a distance.
In any case, it’s going to be exciting, and I plan to bring my camera and take some good photos.
In the meantime, we’re getting ready and walking more — strolling through the park looking for squirrels, and I’m trying to ride my bike more. I believe everything will go well, and for now, I’ll be preparing and planning everything.
Thank you all for your support! And also, thanks so much for your help on BuyMeACoffee.
