They live among us...
I normally take the 100-400 to the nature reserve, that being the best lens I have for butterfly work. Today I took the macro and cycled down to the reserve looking for grasshoppers. It's early yet in the season, but with the temperatures being what they are I thought I'd find a few.
I could have shut down the aperture a bit more, to get the whole bug in focus, but I didn't. Nevertheless I love the lime green and lemon yellow of this crop. For to say I got fairly eaten by the nasty bitey flies while I was there, and I was ready to quit after finding this chappie.
Stupidly hot again, but I got a coat of gloss on the woodwork in the downstairs hallway. Bit by bit, as they say.
