The Visitors

We normally see Lou and Sarah when we’re down in Chester, but they came up to see us today, for a change. The weather in Kendal was cool and drizzly but, apparently, this was not necessarily a bad thing as it had been quite hot when they left Chester.
Fortunately, the drizzle eased off long enough for us to walk into town, along the river, and have lunch at Cortillo Lounge on Highgate. Very enjoyable it was too, and we had a good old catch up before a quick amble around town and back to our house.
Just had a message to say they’re safely back in Chester and enjoyed their visit. We’ve already pencilled in a tentative date for a Christmas meal, but I’m sure we will meet up again before that - either when we’re down in Chester or they might come up here again. Hopefully, on a sunnier/drier day!
