Didn't feel like Saturday
I don't know what day it felt like but it wasn't a Saturday.
I walked to Mum's and had a nice chat with her and a bit of chat with brother Mike.
Got the bus back home. I had intended to take a few photos for a blip on my walk but there wasn't really anything worth taking a photo of. It was hot but blowing a gale and typically, the way the wind was blowing it blew my hair into my face the whole way. Not good when you are covered in factor 50!
Was telling Mum about the recent TV series "The Bombing of Pan Am 103" - how good it was; how well done and how there was so much more to the story than you'd ever guess. I had thought she might have recorded it and seen it but she hadn't. We remember it happening but I hadn't realised it was so long ago. Time seems to have passed so quickly. We had recorded the series on our freesat box but ended up watching it on bbc i-player as it was in UHD on there.
There are not many TV series we enjoy these days - many of them we bin after a few minutes. The Sheldrake one and a few others recently that we recorded we had looked forward to and found so disappointing. Actually, worse than disappointing, we thought they were sh*t! It was good to have this Lockerbie series - it made excellent viewing.
Felt shattered this afternoon - no idea why as I slept OK last night - perhaps the heat made me feel so weary. I tried to have an hour's nap on the bed but only got a few minutes as I had the windows ajar and there was a lot of noise outside, not least from the strong gusts of wind. Felt less weary from teatime though.
Terry has been pottering abut quite a bit but has not ventured in the garage workshop thankfully. I know he is itching to get at the ceiling that needs fixing but he is under strict orders to hold fire on that.
I am wondering how long before the writing on my back (re the patch tests) wears off (indelible marker) as it looks awful!
