Cuppa

Early morning I checked all the hedges and my suspicions were confirmed. All the birds have fledged and nobody is occupying nests for a second brood yet.
So 150ft of 7ft high privet & Hawthorne were trimmed, ditto two lawns. The lawn we ignore is a good height now & busy with wild Garlic mustard & common ragwort, with a lot of flowering clover at the edges.
In this heat, stopping for a cuppa in the dappled shade of the willow tree was very welcome.
I might actually be getting some satisfaction from gardening, even if I haven’t quite reached the level of enjoyment.
Which is nice.
