Family name
Xtoph1 and I met up at Darlington station and took a taxi over to a very pretty village church for the funeral of a cousin of ours. She was half a generation older than us but her death was sudden so it was an emotional experience. The church was full to overflowing and the speeches were moving and intense. We went back to the family home for a Yorkshire tea of sandwiches and cakes. Lots of family we don’t see very often milling around a sunlit garden.
We had to wrangle a ride back to the station so left suddenly and I travelled south with a younger cousin and the wife of another cousin. Lots of catching up on the way down to London.
I stayed the night with B & C, Leo still awake when I got there, kneeling up in his cot. He managed to mouth the word ‘Granny’ before toppling to sleep.
