Symmetry

We had a great charabanc trip to Mellerstain House today.  Many of the rooms were designed by Robert Adam.  We learned of his love of symmetry, and many of the rooms have false doors for balance.  After 90 minutes of rather dull old masters but fantastic ceilings and fireplaces we really needed symmetrical  refreshments :-)

The gang are almost symmetrical in extras.
