Look up

Another hot and sunny day - will it ever end?! It's the last day of me watering a neighbours garden while they've been away in Croatia, where it's been even hotter!, and it's been tough!! I  hope they pick a rainier week to go away next!!  Managed to keep everything alive though, although the hydrangeas have been a struggle! I'm struggling with them in my garden too so hopefully they'll recover!

Did manage some early morning pottering as a lot of the roses needed deadheading as most have finished for now.  Also had the company of neighbourhood cats watching me work, and 2 of them (ragdolls) are now both fast asleep in the back of the borders so I'm glad to have created some comfy, shady spaces for them to snooze!

Quite a few butterflies and dragonflies about again which  is always lovely to see in the garden! Loved getting underneath this one - he must have had a lovely view of me up there!
