Belated Surprise

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,

One of The Prince’s colleagues has just retired and her husband arranged a celebratory do for her this afternoon. It was due to start at 3 but the Prince decided he’d head along a bit later - some time between 4 & 5 pm.

“It doesn’t really start until 3:30,” he explained, “but they said 3 to everyone because she’s arriving at 3:30 for the surprise.”

“It’s a surprise?”

“Yeah. She doesn’t know it’s been arranged.”

I then explained to The Prince that you can’t turn up late to a surprise party! You have to be there for main event when everyone shouts “SURPRISE!” Thats the whole point of a surprise party.

So he went earlier!
