They lucked out

It was the Lothian Cat Rescue Open Day this afternoon, and as Martin was working I took a trip 6 miles down the road to just outside Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, to show my support.

Due to the lovely weather there were hundreds of people there, enjoying all the different fund raising stalls, as well as looking at the beautiful cats and kittens that were being looked after.

As well as buying a few raffle tickets and a picnic hamper, I was able to donate quite a lot of cat food that Emmy used to like, but which Millie is not allowed, which they were very grateful for.

As you are probably aware, Martin and I adore cats and I was so pleased to see the rescue centre having never been before. It looked lovely, clean and well run. All the cats had nice pens with bedding, food and toys. That said, it would be great for all these lovely cats and kittens to get their well deserved forever homes.

Lothian Cat Rescue helps cats and kittens that have been abandoned, ill-treated, neglected or are no longer wanted. They are a "No Kill" shelter and each year give around 1,000 cats the chance of a brighter future.

Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome.

I hope you have have a good Sunday, are are not too warm.
