He's behind you!

We got up early this morning to go back to RSPB Bempton to see if we could see the owl. Within a few minutes we spoke to someone who said that it had been out hunting a short while ago. We only had to wait about 5 mins and it was out again. It wasn't just a fleeting glimpse, it circled us a few times and we got some nice photos. These three tickled my sense of humour! 

We spent an hour there but the owl didn't reappear. 

After breakfast we went out to Wykeham Forrest, with the promise of a Raptor viewpoint. It did say you had to be patient. Our patience didn't last and we aborted that idea. Instead we went to the country park at Filey Brigg for our picnic lunch and then a walk out on to the peninsular, with lovely views. 

We then went back to RSPB Bempton and spent a long time photographing the gannets. The owl didn't reappear as it was a bit windy.
