Butterflies
Four and a half hours from Newquay to the Chilterns, thanks to leaving early. We drove through mist and drizzle all the way, but the temperature crept from 19ºC to 26ºC. I was delighted to find that our lavender finally has butterflies, not quite the usual variety, but here is a Comma, Green-veined White, Small White and Marbled White. There were also Large Whites, Brimstones, Skippers and Gatekeepers.
