(174) Demolition

The big shed at Burntisland docks is being demolished. It has been empty and falling into disrepair since last used by the now-defunct BiFab construction company a few years ago. Recently, some of the metal cladding has been blown off the structure in periods of high winds so I assume it was safety concerns that brought about the decision to demolish. However, there have been some objections voiced though due to seagulls nesting on the roof. Although I understand that they are a protected species and that all work should be carried out with proper authorisation etc, I can also understand why people are not particularly sympathetic towards the seagulls, given the nuisance they cause in the town. Of course,  if people wouldn't litter, which provides food for the seagulls, the nuisance would be very much less. The extra is a wider view of the location, looking up the River Forth towards the Forth Bridges.
