Causeway

Out on the bike first thing to the Midlothian countryside for some miles in the legs before heading down to England for the night - a cheap Premier Inn deal in Northumberland...be rude not to.

Over the causeway to Lindisfarne for the afternoon with a picnic, a walk and visit to the castle plus a pint in a sun-drenched beer garden before a teatime dip in the sea and a sit on the beach at Bamburgh, all ahead of the traditional/compulsory fish and chips overlooking the harbour at Seahouses.

A bit of backgammon in the bar at the hotel and now feeling pretty weary I have to say, must be all that sea air.
