Rushed Blip

The power is about to go off at any moment, so wanted to post this while I still could.
This is a night shot of Aduro, one of the two cats who live here. She loves to drink running water, as many cats do - how sensible of them!

We had a lovely quiet day, with the only major event being in the evening when we had a shared meal with friends, hosted at Daveen and Mike’s. The main feature of the meal was produced here on the back yard barbecue by Mike and one of the friends - Carlos. It was local, freshly caught sardines, which are peak season now. This was accompanied by many other delicacies and delicious desserts and of course, wine and liqueurs and coffee.
Now, following a shower by phone light, I am going to try to sleep, for as long as I can until the fan loses its power and the heat builds up.
